Commencement Week

Information

What is Commencement Week?

Commencement Week is a week-long celebration leading up to both Autumn and Spring Commencement. A series of events will occur to recognize graduates’ achievements. For Fall Commencement Week, these events include Planetarium Shows, Orton Tower Tours, Grad Cap Crafternoon and Candlelight Ceremony at the Longaberger Alumni House. For Spring Commencement Week, these events include Planetarium Shows, Orton Bell Tower Tours, Grad Cap Craft Night and Candlelight Ceremony on the Oval. All undergraduate, graduate, and professional students are encouraged to participate and invite their family and friends along.

What is the Buckeye Bucket List?

The Buckeye Bucket List includes locations on campus that we think graduating students would like to visit before they attend Commencement. We realize that it is possible to attend Ohio State for three or four years without appreciating the hidden gems that Ohio State has to offer. The list of places on this list tries to bring those hidden gems to the attention of students so that they can experience all Ohio State has to offer before graduation.

Take the Graduation Survey

The university administers a Graduation Survey to all graduating students (except full-time MBAs and PhDs who receive separate, national surveys) beginning three weeks prior to commencement. Students are encouraged to complete the survey as data are used throughout the university to improve the experiences of future Buckeyes. To take the survey, visit http://go.osu.edu/gradsurvey

Language Interpretation for Commencement

Participants will be required to use a personal cell phone to dial in for the service. Please note that conference lines are limited and the large audience size also may cause limited cellular connectivity and service. Please visit the website to complete an online registration.
