Commencement Eve Candlelight Ceremony

All graduating undergraduate, graduate, and professional students and their families and guests are invited to the Commencement Eve Candlelight Ceremony.  The Fall Candlelight ceremony typically takes place the Thursday before Commencement. Spring Candlelight Ceremony is May 9, 2026 in Front of Thompson Library. Archie Griffin Grand Ballroom at the Ohio Union will serve as the rain site in case of inclement weather. 

Live captioning of the speakers will be provided. If you require other accommodations such as ASL to participate in this event, please contact Annie Maxwell at maxwell.515@osu.edu. Requests made two weeks before the event will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
