Apply today for speaker related commencement opportunities! Represent your graduating class!  

As we get closer to graduation, your Ohio Union Activities Board (OUAB) would like to inform you of a wonderful opportunity to be a student speaker for the Commencement Eve Candlelight Speaker!

The evening prior to graduation, we will be holding our traditional Candlelight Ceremony. During the event, you will hear remarks from President of The Ohio State Univeristy Dr. Kristina Johnson, Senior Vice President of Student Life Dr. Melissa Shivers and President and CEO of The Ohio State Alumni Associaion Molly Ranz-Calhoun. Two student speakers will be selected through an application and audition process to address the crowd to share and reflect on their Ohio State experience for graduates, family and friends in attendance.  

If you are interested in speaking, the application is currently open. Please submit your application and speech by Sunday, April 2nd at 11:59 p.m. to go.osu.edu/cwcandlelightspeaker 

If your essay is selected you will be asked to present it in front of a panel of judges.
