The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum
**LIMITED OPPORTUNITY** OSU is home to the world’s largest collection of comic book and cartoon art, at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum! Stop in to see original comic art including Bill Watterson’s Calvin & Hobbes, Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, Jeff Smith’s Bone, works by P. Craig Russell, acclaimed illustrator of The Sandman, Hellboy, and Coraline, and many more! Located at Sullivant Hall, April 29-May 4 from 1-5pm.
Graduating students: FREE Commencement T-Shirt!
The Alumni Association will be distributing free Commencement T-Shirts to graduating students from April 28 - May 2. Graduating students are asked to bring their Buck ID to receive a free shirt from the Alumni Association satellite office on the first floor of the Ohio Union during Commencement Week. *Limited quantities are available and only distributed to graduating students.
Thompson Special Collections Tour
**LIMITED OPPORTUNITY** Visit Thompson Library room 105 on Wednesday, April 30th from 11am-4pm to see artifacts and special works from the William Charvat Collection of American Fiction, Rare Books and Manuscripts, The Hilander Research Library, and the Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee Theatre Research Institute.
The Medical Heritage Center
**LIMITED OPPORTUNITY** Come see treasures from the collections of the Medical Heritage Center including our oldest book 'De humani corporis fabrica libri septem (On the fabric of the human body in seven books)' written by Andreas Vesalius in 1555 and a 1907 scrapbook from Ohio Medical University. Only available Wednesday April 30 from 1-3pm at the Prior Health Sciences Library room 580.
Things You Never Got to See Tour – Various Times & Locations
Are there places on campus you have always heard about, but never had the chance to find? Well now is your chance!
Most of the locations on the "Things You Never Got to See Tour" are self-guided and can be visited as your own schedule permits. Other locations have limited hours, so please note that in each description. There is no RSVP necessary to participate. Visit the tour page for complete details on all the stops.
See the Underground Steam Tunnels - RPAC, 2:00-4:00pm
OSU has miles of underground tunnels that connect the university's heating, cooling, and telecommunications...but have you ever wanted to see what they look like and how they work? Visit the RPAC Sport Shop on the ground floor for a unique opportunity to get a short guided tour. Available April 29, April 30, and May 1 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm each day. *Please note: Children must be at least 13 and 54" tall; ALL must wear closed-toe shoes, no heels or flip-flops.
Treasures of the Archives and Book Depository
**LIMITED OPPORTUNITY** You are invited to see material from the Byrd Polar Research Center Archival Program, Ohio Congressional Archives, and Ohio State University Archives. The collections are located in the Book Depository, and visitors will also be taken through the high-density stack area, which are three stories tall (think “Raiders of the Lost Ark”). Located at 2700 Kenny Road, this will only be available Wednesday, April 30th from 2-4pm.
GraduAsian Celebration- Ohio Union Great Hall Meeting Rooms, 5:30-7:30pm
We invite you to be a part of the annual GraduAsian Celebration to honor OSU's Asian/Asian American graduates and reflect on the year.
The Asian/Asian American student communities on campus contribute significantly to the social, educational, and cultural fabric of campus life. This annual program honors their important achievements and contributions. Located in the Great Hall Meeting Rooms in the Ohio Union.
